Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

Ingredients

Servings: 1

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup water or milk
  • 1 small or medium sized apple, diced
  • ½ to ¾ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp butter
  • Maple syrup or brown sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Combine the diced apple, cinnamon, and a dash of water in a saucepan. Stir occassionally until the apples soften.
  2. Add in the water or milk along with the oats.
  3. Stir often until it reaches the consistency of your choice.
  4. Remove from heat and mix in the butter.
  5. Top with maple syrup, brown sugar, or any toppings of choice before serving.

Tips

  • Top your oatmeal with chopped pecans.
  • If using milk, make sure to stir consistently so that the milk does not burn on the botton of the saucepan.
